Program Accomplishments
 

Since initiating this home building program in 1997, we have helped bring affordable housing to 274 families. Five rental 3-bedroom homes for disabled clients of Madison Haywood Developmental Services have been developed in Madison and Hardeman Counties.

This success impacts our entire community by producing a total well over $17.3 million in real estate sales.

Additionally, we counsel individuals in helping them realize their goals. Most have experienced difficult personal and economic difficulties, but, through their own hard work and perseverance, have settled difficulties, established credit, and chosen a life style to move aggressively into the future. 

We continue to counsel with them on many issues and then construct new homes according to the buyers’ wishes and realistic budgets. Over 90% of our clients have received down payment assistance which can include up to $15,000 in the form of a forgivable loan over a five year period.
